Pedal kayaks

Pedal kayaks are specialized kayaks that allow a kayaker to keep his hands-free while on the water. They kayaker does not need to use a paddle to navigate or propel himself. Instead, pedals in the cockpit are attached to under water flippers.

There are advantages and disadvantages to using pedal kayaks. One advantage is that sportsmen can go out on the water with their hands-free so that they can engage in activities like fishing. The disadvantage is that the boats rely on a delicate mechanism to maneuver.

Pedal kayaks require a significant investment because of their complex gears. A typical model costs approximately 2000 dollars. Fishermen should look for one with an adjustable seat back and large amounts of storage.
